ICARUS meets the challenges that archives are facing today as a result of the ongoing changes in society, economy and technology.
ICARUS coordinates the inter- and transnational cooperation between commemorative institutions such as archives, libraries and museums. In doing so, the Association creates a common platform for mutual support in expert issues and project management.
ICARUS joins efforts with its partners to develop cross-border strategies for the electronic indexing and accessibility of archive material.
ICARUS assists Central European archives to reposition themselves in a virtual world by establishing sustainable digital libraries.
