Imthias Ahamed (IEEE Member 2009) was born in Tellicherry, India in 1966. He received his B.Tech degree in electrical engineering from Kerala university and M. Tech degree in Instrumentation and control from NIT-Calicut, India. He obtained his Ph.D from Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore, India in 2002. He is now an assistant professor in the Saudi Aramco Chair in Electrical Power, Electrical Engineering Department, King Saud University, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. His current research include Reinforcement Learning, Neural Network, demand response and power system scheduling and control in the presence of renewable energy sources.
