For the past too many years I have carried out effectuation research as a hobby. To everybody's surprise, I finally finished my PhD path in October 2015. I was honored to have Professor William B. Gartner as opponent for my thesis, The Game of Developing a Game. Hobbyist Game Developers as Playful Entrepreneurs in the Apple App Store.
