I've been developing digital products and businesses since 1991 when I worked at GTE New Ventures in Hollywood.  We were building broadband media companies to service the entertainment industry.  In 1993, I went to STAR TV the satellite television broadcaster based in Hong Kong and to Beijing to study at the Beijing School of Economics.  Then back to the US to Battery Ventures in Boston in 1994 as an Associate.  There I met the Internet and developed a few websites in my spare time.  We studied the early Internet intensely, and Battery invested in a few early Internet companies.
