I am Interested in many things, however, since graduate school I love engaging in the economics, business, and policy side of food and agriculture. I was a peasant farmer once and an urban farmer always. The 'idea' of cooperatives as a business entity is attractive, but the reality of it is laborious. I use to live in East Africa where I still have a sustainable and organic farm that I manage. My family is from Isan, Thailand. And Capitol Food Ventures is my new startup venture (social enterprise) where we build healthier, more responsible food and agriculture enterprises overseas and in the US.
