I am a full-time Lecturer in the College Writing Program at Buffalo State College. Previously I taught composition, creative writing, and literature at SUNY Brockport, where I earned a Master's degree in English with a concentration in Rhetoric and Composition. Recently I completed a Master of Social Work degree and a Trauma Counseling Certificate program through the University at Buffalo where I am presently pursuing a PhD in Social Welfare. My current research focuses on trauma-informed teaching practices and the uses of writing to heal.
