I am a product of inner-city public schools. Throughout my entire primary and secondary educational careers, I have been enrolled in Indianapolis Public Schools. For a long time, my goal has been to teach band for an IPS middle and/or high school because I love teaching, learning and education, and music. Being a teacher (for me) means giving back to my community and combining the things that I love doing. How do you synthesize the things you enjoy into a meaningful career?
