Julia Miele Rodas is Professor of English at Bronx Community College of the City University of New York. She earned her Ph.D. in English from the CUNY Graduate Center and a B.A. from Sarah Lawrence College. She is co-editor of The Madwoman and the Blindman (The Ohio State University Press, 2012) and of the Literary Disability Studies book series for Palgrave Macmillan. Her most recent book, Autistic Disturbances: Theorizing Autism Poetics from the DSM to Robinson Crusoe (University of Michigan Press, 2018)—theorizes the role of autistic rhetoric and aesthetic in literature.
