Located on Bowen Island, BC, Island Pacific School (IPS) is uniquely designed to give grade 6-9 middle school students the education they need: an education that challenges and surprises them to become the very best of who they are. Small by design, the school has a total of 70 students and is accredited by both ISABC and CAIS. Distinctly different core program elements include inquiry-based learning within the IB Middle Years Program; classes in reasoning, philosophy and ethics; outdoor expeditions; a Grade 9 Masterworks program that requires students to publicly defend an independent research project, and monthly community service activities.
