I've switched careers after 20 years, moving from the newsroom to the classroom. As 21st century educators, we have to embrace the use of technology (PowerPoint presentations, videostreaming and an interactive whiteboard) to keep the attention of today's students -- and adults, too. It is my desire to be on the cutting edge in the delivery of teaching and learning.
