Okay. I am, according to significant others, an artist who happens to have an engineering degree who likes solving difficult problems. I am, according to me, recreationally addicted. The picture is from a kayaking trip off the Maine coast.
Currently I am a volunteer serving in the US Peace Corps in the health/appropriate technology sector in the Dominican Republic. I've been in the DR for just about a year and have a little more than a year remaining in my service. The experience has been difficult and rich, certainly a learning experience..and, yes, indeed, I find I am making friends that will be with me for the rest of my life; this is the way it feels.
