About
Koen Marquering works as international coordinator at the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC). Based in Bishkek, Kyrgyz Republic, he is responsible for the implementation of UNODC's programmes on criminal justice, crime prevention and anti-corruption in Central Asia.
Before joining UNODC in 2012, Koen Marquering completed assignments with the Office of the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights (2005-2009) and the United Nations Development Programme (2010-2012). Koen Marquering holds a Master’s Degree in Human Rights and Democratisation from the European Inter-University Centre in Human Rights and Democratisation, as well as a Master’s Degree in International Relations fro.
