LAYTH ABDULKAREEM HASSNAWI was born in Iraq in 1970. He received the B.Sc. degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Military Engineering College, Iraq, in 1993; and the M.Sc. degree in Computer Engineering from University of Technology, Iraq, in 2002. His research interests are on computer and communication network modeling using discrete event simulators, wireless networking and Routing in mobile wireless networks. He worked as a researcher in the Ministry of Science and Technology (MOST), Iraq until 2008. He is a member of IEEE, IEEE Computer Society, IEEE Communication Society and Universal Association of Computer & Electronic Engineering (UACEE) Society.
