I am a reconciliation ecologist with broad training and interests in evolutionary ecology, animal behavior, behavioral endocrinology, and conservation biology. I use quantitative empirical approaches to test ecological theory in vertebrate populations at various scales of space, time, and biological organization. I focus on applying knowledge of how organisms and communities evolve and function in natural ecosystems towards understanding how those processes evolve in human-dominated ecosystems. I am strongly driven by an acute awareness of human impact on our planet and my research therefore encompasses a broad agenda bringing the power of quantitative evolutionary ecology to bear on und...
