After an earlier career in academic administration and information referral, I made the logical step to librarianship. My positions--Business Librarian at Portage District Library and Staff Reference Librarian at OCLC's Questionpoint Reference Service--complement each other to reinforce my abilities to serve my patrons in ftf, phone, and virtual environments, public and academic. In recent years I have discovered a joy in teaching which has manifested itself in being a database trainer at the state level, doing high school bibliographic instruction, and guest lecturing at several library schools across the country.
