It was the summer of 1988 and hip-hop music was on fire. This was the biggest summer in the history of hip-hop and it proved to be a defining moment of the entire movement. Huge albums dropped that summer with bangers such as Boogie Down Production - My Philosophy; Eric B. & Rakim - Microphone Fiend; Public Enemy - Don’t Believe The Hype; Run DMC - My Adidas; and Slick Rick - Children’s Story to name a few.
