The Meeting house in Gernika, Spain was the site of general meetings for the region of Bizkaia until 1876. The architect Antonio Echevarrí designed and constructed the monument between 1826 and 1833 for this purpose. Visitors can now tour the historic Meeting house where important regional decisions and gatherings took place for over 50 years.
