Mohammad Aftabuzzaman, a human rights activist and an expert in the development sector was born in Satkhira, Bangladesh in 1976. He completed his Bachelors of Science and Maters of Science from the University of Dhaka, Bangladesh. After completion of his studies, he commenced his career at a research based think- tank, ‘Institute for Research and Development (IRD)’ in January 2002 where he worked till April 2009. In May 2009, he joined the Bangladesh Institute of Islamic Thought (BIIT), the local branch of a USA based think-tank where he is currently serving as its Assistant Director. Mohammad Aftabuzzaman has participated in various national and international seminars, workshops and t
