I came to Enterprise Search out of the UX program at EY. Search was, and still is, the largest user experience issue we have, in my opinion. I've been working the issue as one of defining excellent results (TREC method, mainly) for search, measuring where we are in comparison to the ideal, then adjusting the engine to improve, remeasure, and so on. I still find time to do user studies on search.
