I obtained my PhD on the use and applications of Linked Data and Semantic Web technologies (RDF, OWL, etc.) for scientific research from the University of Southampton in 2013.
My research looks at the representation and manipulation of chemical information, including: health and safety, and risk assessment data. In parallel, I also investigate how descriptions of scientific processes (such as scientific experiments) may be captured and curated with the aid of software systems.
Specialities: computer science, software engineering, programming languages (Haskell, Java, Ruby, etc.), semantics and ontology.
