Junior Sister - Ophthalmology

Got my general nursing degree in 2009 in Portugal and have been working in the UK ever since. Started as RGN in a Nursing Home providing care for the elderly, which I quite enjoyed, but after a year I though I should look for something to guide my career for the future. Jan 2011 moved to Maidstone and was very fortunate to have worked in Endoscopy, and then found my passion in the ophthalmic theatres. By 2013 started looking for further education in the ophthalmology area and finally got into a PG Cert in Ophthalmic Nursing in UCL in partnership with Moorfields Eye Hospital, in 2014.
