I am currently investigating several aspects of prosody in patients with high-functioning Autism, especially their marking and perception of information status/givenness. I am also looking at the occurence of backchannels and hesitation signals in conversational interactions of HFA-patients. Together with a student research group I am investigating inital and prosodic strengthening of german fortis and lenis plosives. We designed a corpus that not only controls for different initial positions of the plosives (word-internal, word-initial, phrase-initial) but also for different "strengths" of accent.
