Matt Dinerstein has been a photographer since the early 1980's. He began work shortly out of college as an assistant and printer for Arnold Newman. Following that he freelance assisted in NYC prior to moving to Chicago. His observations of urban and rural people and cultures are driven by exploring the unseen moments as well as disappearing customs and landscapes. Part of his work encompasses documentary photojournalism, while another facet explores a kind of anthropological sociology of vanishing cultures.
