It's a brave new world out there for academic librarians -- technology knocking on every door and Google the first search for virtually everyone (me included). How do we stay on top of all the emerging and interactive technologies available to us? How do we make the distance learning experience personal and valuable to students we never see? How do we reach the tech-savvy student and channel them towards authoritative, verifiable, accurate information -- and enlighten them to use it ethically? How do we keep our own (and our colleagues') skills up to date? How do we foster the sharing of information to reach knowledge?
