Mehran (1987) started his studies in Geomatics at University of Isfahan, where he obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in 2009. He continued his studies at University of Tehran, where he specialized in Geospatial Information Systems (GIS). In 2012, he successfully defended his MSc thesis at this university on the topic of Geospatial Computational Geometry. His thesis entitled A Voronoi-base Algorithm for Medial Axis Extraction (Case Study: Watershed Delineation from River Networks) describes a new approach for medial axis extraction using the Voronoi diagram.
