Jackson Jewelers is 88 years young! It was founded in 1922 by Melvin Earl Jackson. Mr. Jackson was a watch maker and shared a shop with Dr. Dycus, an optometrist, in downtown Mount Vernon. After several moves the store settled at 913 Broadway where it stayed until 1995. Jackson's had a store in Times Square Mall for 20 years, and one in Centralia for 6 years. In January 1995, all stores were combined and moved to its current location in "The Gallery" at 3002 Broadway. Jackson's continues to be a family owned jewelry store with a wide variety of gifts from bridal registry to baby registry and everything in between.
