A potted history:
At University (84-90) I did a bachelors then a masters in product design. I got very interested in brand new product development, how you protect innovation and take it to market. At the end of that period I was very influenced by the first IPCC (International Panel on Climate Change) report in 1990. I realised the world didnt need another product designer, it needed someone who knew about reducing pollution.
I began a PhD in product development and environment. I got invovled in energy labelling of consumer products, and in 94, moved to Oxford University, providing advice to both the UK and EU Governments.
