11 years of research experience in the biomedical signal processing field in three different laboratories: LTSI (France), GBBA (Venezuela) and BISEMIC (Colombia), 13 years of teaching experience at undergraduate and graduate levels in electronic engineering and 3 years of management experience. My research topic is mostly focused on the use of digital signal processing and machine learning techniques for cardiac event detection and diagnosis, especially the use of hidden semi-Markov models for time series characterization.
