Michael migrated from Ireland to the United States in 1984 and began a career in business development that was to span many industries.
In '86 together with a partner, he began a trading company specializing in the development of electronic peripherals which he manufactured in Asia. Having grown the company to become the leader in their sector, Michael sold his shareholding in 1996.
He joined Enterprise Ireland to spearhead their export sales program in the US. He managed teams that had responsibility for developing export sales of all consumer and industrial product companies.
