I am the product of a Junior Research Scientist/ MD and a Jeweler / Veteran of WWII whose ancestors were Sephardi Jews from Spain.So I grew up in between a huge neurobiology lab equipped with oscillators, with two electron microscopes ( the 70's.. it was rare!) , a pool of live sharks and other sea creatures and every kind of gadget a research lab of a Nobel prize winner ( Dr. Jose del Castillo) could have and a jewelry shop full of machines, tools, and chemicals ( cyanide and such) . When my Mom got tired of my inquisitiveness when I was at her work place she enrolled me in an art school a few feet away from her building ( in Old San Juan)... So.. thats basically why I am not normal...jaja
