Darin Detwiler teaches U.S. History at Redmond Junior High School in Redmond, Washington. He previously served eight years as a high school Math and Science Department Head and as a district specialist in instructional technology and math/science graduation standards.
Mr. Detwiler is a decorated U.S. Navy submarine veteran, having served as a mechanical engineer on nuclear reactor and propulsion plants. He 'qualified in submarines' aboard the USS William H. Bates (SSN-680) and served during the Cold War era and First Gulf War.
