Kate Meehan has been performing, writing and educating on Commedia dell'Arte for nearly two decades. Her students are easy to spot - their performances are anchored in their bodies, and reflect the surprise and spontenaity that comes from genuine acting.
She is a founding member of the Austin Commedia Society, now La Fenice, and has trained with internationally acclaimed Commedia dell'Arte instructors, written extensively on Commedia dell'Arte themes in cross-cultural and historical contexts, and written and performed dozens of original and adapted Commedia dell'Arte works for modern audiences around the globe.
