My philosophy of education is based on all aspects of the child's development. Teachers can teach content required in a subject but they also contribute to being a model for kindness, good citizenship, patience with others, generosity and understanding of others by the way they deport themselves inside and outside the classroom. When a child feels a sense of belonging and safety in their environment, they are more likely to want to learn and take risks with their learning.
