Dr. Nanopoulos is an assistant professor at the University of Eichstaett-Ingolstadt, Germany. His main research interests include Data Mining and Machine Learning with applications in Databases and Information Retrieval. Dr. Nanopoulos was born in Romania in 1974 and obtained his BSc and PhD from the Department of Informatics of Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Greece, where he taught as Lecturer from 2004 to 2008. From 2005 to 2008 Dr. Nanopoulos also taught courses at the Hellenic Open University. From 2008 to 2012 he was an assistant professor at University of Hildesheim, Germany.
