During the summer of 2014 I had the pleasure of being a part of The New York Time's internship program. In addition to hands-on work experience, an informative speakers series, and numerous fun activities, I also got the chance to spend every Friday collaborating with a small team of other tech interns on our summer project. We created a saved article reminder system called "NYT Later" which we then demoed to a large group of Times tech talent. Our project won 2nd place in the Intern Innovation challenge.
I will be continuing to work at the Times with the Quality Assurance team to test the various software that makes The New York Times run smoothly. My projects so far have included:
