I'm a cultural metis-my life steeped in the traditions of two continents: Africa and America. That mixture has made me open to music, art, books, and people from across the globe. I dance to makossa and rock out to Metallica. I'm a thoughtful, somewhat reformed blue stocking- now I spend as much time traveling to exotic far flung climes as I used to spend reading about them.
