Professor, Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering, Gadjah Mada University, Indonesia
Nizam is a professor in Civil Engineering at Gadjah Mada University and currently also served as the Secretary of the Board of Higher Education at the Ministry of Education and Culture, Republik Indonesia. He has a broad based research interests covering coastal engineering, disaster mitigation, ICT in education, and higher education planning and development. He consults part-time on disaster mitigation and higher education reform projects with JICA, Asian Development Bank, and the World Bank in Indonesia and Sri Lanka.
