Norman Paul Brett Norman's first singing experience began when he was 10 years old. He was coaxed to the stage by performers seeing him mimic their singing. This event made Norman realize his love for singing, but his shyness and lack of confience kept it a secret for many years. He sang only when alone or with close friends. On the way to a camp meeting with a pastor and friends, they began singing some familiar choruses. When the pastor heard him sing, he encouraged him to use his vocal talents in public for Christ.
