I graduated in Faculty of Sport Sciences and Physical Education from Porto University in 1995, completed my master degree in Superior School of Physical Education in Porto Alegre, Brazil and concluded a PhD degree in Faculty of Sport, Porto University (FADEUP) in 2010. I have been an assistant Professor at the Piaget Institute since 2000 and an invited assistant Professor at FADEUP since 2013. Since I graduate I have completed the supervision of 31 graduate students and 28 master students. Currently I am supervising 1 PhD student and 4 master students and serving as external examiner of several doctoral (n=9) and master (n=17) theses.
