Perla began the UCLA Extension Program in 1993 and in 1994 she began her work in the field of Landscape Architecture with Galper/Baldon Associates. While at Galper/Baldon a large portion of her work was Institutional, this work included elementary, middle, high, and special schools in the Los Angeles School System.
Galper/Baldon has authored Steps And Stairways Rizzoli International, New York 1989, and Reflections On A Pool Rizzoli International, New York 1997, and have had numerous projects published in Sunset, and Los Angeles time magazine.
