I was born in St. Petersburg, Russia, in the late 1970s. My mother is a Caucasian Russian and my father is a Black Tanzanian. Hence, I have the best from both worlds. My beloved parents, my younger sister, and I moved from Russia to Tanzania in the mid 1980s, and thus I grew up where Mount Kilimanjaro – the highest mountain in Africa – is located. In the late 1990s, I graduated from high school in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania, and then left for the US, to attend Ohio University in Athens, Ohio. I left Ohio University after I married, and became a homemaker, a devoted wife and mother. In 2006, my family and I moved permanently to Algeria.
