I'm an assistant professor in the Department of Mass Communication at Linfield College in McMinnville, Oregon. I teach courses on media and journalism. I also do research on journalism, especially magazines. I'm the magazine industry correspondent for PBS MediaShift and write about the transition of the medium from print to digital technology.
