TO THE VIRGINS, TO MAKE MUCH OF TIME.
by Robert Herrick
GATHER ye rosebuds while ye may,
Old time is still a-flying :
And this same flower that smiles to-day
To-morrow will be dying.
In general, I'm not crazy about short stories; I suppose I prefer to be drawn into the realm of the novel. However, there are some writers of shorts that I love--Ernest Hemingway, Katherine Anne Porter and Jorge Borges, to name a few. I read poems even more seldom, mostly because I'm already accustomed to my favorites--Frost, Doolittle, Cummings and many more I can't think of, for some reason.
