Since September 2001 BCPS has been a national leader in the development and deployment of an on-line electronic catalog procurement process. In the past 13 years our end-users have processed over 105,502 electronic purchase orders valued at $46.5 million. Since 2001 the BCPS eProcurement system has grown from a small pilot program of five catalogs with 15 vendors and 2,000 line items to over 71 catalogs with over 500,000 line items offered by over 145 vendors. Since implementing our on-line catalog system we have trained over 1797+ users and dramatically reduced the number of purchase orders from a high of 31,189 in 2000 to 7,500 in FY 2013 a reduction of over 78 percent.
