I work in Statistical Machine Learning with a special focus towards Ranking and Human Computation, though I am also an expert in other areas such as Large Scale Optimization, Graphical Models and High Dimensional Methods. My research is on the cusp or theory and practice, with a focus on identifying and strengthening theoretical foundations for methods used in practice.
