A principal fatia do consumo energ¨¦tico nos caminhos-de-ferro consiste no consumo de energia para trac??o, isto ¨¦, a energia despendida para mover os comboios. Estes consumos s?o muito influenciados pela forma como o comboio ¨¦ conduzido dentro dos hor¨¢rios estabelecidos. Como cada maquinista tem o seu estilo de condu??o pr¨®prio e dado que a dedu??o da estrat¨¦gia de condu??o mais eficiente n?o ¨¦ trivial, existem hoje sistemas de apoio ¨¤ condu??o versados para aconselhar os maquinistas na escolha das ac??es energeticamente mais eficientes. O objectivo do trabalho consistiu na elabora??o de um modelo de condu??o eficiente, de forma a calcular, para um dado percurso e tempo concedido, um perfil de velocidades energeticamente eficiente. Este modelo de condu??o foi utilizado para construir estrat¨¦gias de condu??o eficientes para os servi?os regionais e inter-regionais na linha do Douro. A avalia??o do potencial de poupan?a energ¨¦tica do modelo foi feita recorrendo a um simulador de marcha, comparando as ac??es e evolu??o das velocidades de casos reais analisados com a estrat¨¦gia de condu??o eficiente para a mesma situa??o. Os resultados das simula??es apontam para um potencial de poupan?a energ¨¦tica entre os 11 e os 15%, apenas pela modifica??o do estilo de condu??o. Finalmente, foi desenvolvido um prot¨®tipo de um sistema de apoio ¨¤ condu??o, de forma a auxiliar o maquinista na adop??o de uma estrat¨¦gia eficiente de condu??o. The main share of energy consumption in railways consists of traction energy, i.e., energy required to move the trains. The amount of energy consumed is much influenced by the way the train is driven within schedule. As each driver has its own driving style and since the deduction of the energy-efficient driving strategy is not trivial, there are now available Driving Advice Systems to assist drivers in choosing the most energy-efficient actions. The aim of this study was to develop an energy-efficient driving model in order to derive, for a given route and running time, an energy-efficient speed profile. The driving model was used to build efficient driving strategies for regional and inter-regional rail services in the Douro line. The model¡¯s energy saving potential evaluation was done by using a train-running simulator in order to compare the driver¡¯s actions and speed profiles of real cases with the most efficient driving strategies for the same situations. The simulation results point to an energy saving potential between 11 and 15%, just by changing the driving style. Finally, a Driver Advice System prototype was developed, in order to assist the driver in adopting an efficient driving strategy. The prototype has been developed for the Android platform, to be implemented in a low-cost equipment, such as a tablet, equipped with GPS receiver. ]]>
