Around 2007 I launched my first startup. It was for a Salsa Jar that is built like a deodorant stick allowing you to twist a dial at the bottom causing the salsa to be pushed to the top of the jar. This is a copy of the rough draft of the provisional patent. I wrote this myself. I have filed for a provisional patent but have not put the final draft online. What's the difference between a provisional and full blown utility patent? Provisional patents are less work...so they cost less. Also, they only give you protection for a year (last time I checked). During said year you have to file for a full blown patent.
