I have full filled by biggest ambition, which I never thought would happen, and has only been made possible by world political changes over the last 10-15 years and by the help of some very special freinds. I actually made the trip to my Fathers Home Land ... Latvia, and not only to his country but to his place of birth, the house he lived in which my grandfather built with his own hands! I met relatives we never knew we had! Sadly, none are named 'Zaldats' Now I have a new ambition.... to buy a place in Jaunlutrini.. and to experience Latvia for what it realy is.
