He passed his bachelor of engineering in Mechanical Engineering in 1999 from M.B.M. Engineering College, Jodhpur, India. He worked in industry for two years in the field of production and maintenance engineering. Then he completed his M. Tech. (Mechanical Engineering) with specialization in Thermal and Fluids Engineering from IIT Bombay, Mumbai, India in 2004. He did his Ph.D. from M.N.I.T. Jaipur, India in January 2011.
