She has a research (and teaching) background in marine biodiversity, conservation planning, environmental monitoring and assessment, coastal management and marine resource management. Her current research, education and training interests include marine conservation planning, coastal community-based NRM, food security, coastal climate change and local adaptation planning, particularly in Timor Leste and the Arafura and Timor Seas region.
